Our Road committee continues to be very active and
committed to better management of our roads. We have
had three very well attended meetings over the past
six months. We are working to better manage the road
work orders so only needed roads are done as our new
road grading contractor learns the ropes. We have
had good feedback from those living out here about
the quality of the roads they have worked on. We are
having ongoing discussions about how roads should be
ditched and where. Everyone has an opinion and we
are listening.
One happy problem is that the rains this year
have been little more than sprinkles that lasted for
hours which was perfect for road compaction and
maintenance. Until we have a gully washing downpour
some of our new ditching won’t be tested.
Please note below that some of our road captains
have changed. Please write down the area number that
you own property since everyone has quickly picked
up on those areas as a quick road conversation
reference.
When you have road problems, call your road
captain who has been trained to assess problems in
your area and will get the message to the dispacher.
